Enterprise Contacts vs Calliente.

Both tools do the same job: put your Microsoft 365 directory, the Global Address List, into the native Contacts app so internal calls show a name. Both read it with delegated Microsoft Graph permissions and keep contacts off their own servers. The differences are price, Android, and how you roll it out.

Pick Calliente if…

  • Your fleet includes Android phones. Enterprise Contacts is iPhone and iPad only.
  • You want to block employees from exporting work contacts to personal iCloud. Calliente's Business plan advertises this on iOS (Secure Call ID).
  • Procurement needs a vendor with a sales team and a support contract. Enterprise Contacts is built by one developer.

FAQ

For iPhone and iPad fleets, yes. Both put the Microsoft 365 directory into the native Contacts app using delegated Microsoft Graph permissions. Enterprise Contacts costs €0 at any size; Calliente lists €6 or €8 per user per year. If you also need Android, Calliente covers it and Enterprise Contacts does not.

Calliente says its servers handle licensing and settings only, never contacts. Enterprise Contacts has no contact server at all: contacts go from Microsoft Graph to the phone and stay there, encrypted by iOS Data Protection.

Grant consent for the Enterprise Contacts iOS app, create source groups in the Web Admin, and share the App Store link. Once users have synced, remove the other app and its consent in Entra ID. The IT Admin Guide covers each step.
